Northreach Society is an agency downtown Grande Prairie that can give you information, support and equipment to reduce your risk of harm or overdose while struggling with addiction.

Staff who work there can provide: 
Naloxone/Narcan - medication for overdose on fentanyl, morphine and other opioids
Harm reduction and safer sex supplies- Free regular and flavored condoms, dental dams, Safer injection supplies, safer inhalation supplies, and  clean needles.
​Free testing for HIV, Hepatitis, Chlamydia and other STIs.
Pregnancy testing- Free and done on site. A wonderful option for those who are scared of doctors or for those without health coverage.
HIV/HCV- Human immunodeficiency virus and Hepatitis C support.

The Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act provides some legal protection for people who experience or witness an overdose and call 9-1-1 for help.
